Team Europe’s Sunday outfit revealed

September 5, 2019

The first two days of The 2019 Solheim Cup will have seen fantastic golf, spirited competition and fashionable outfits celebrating each team’s uniqueness. However, on Sunday, the European women will be taking that spirit to another level. With a little luck and a lot of amazing golf, they will be hoisting the coveted Waterford Crystal trophy outfitted in clothing that celebrates the spirit of Team Europe.

As in the first two days, the clothing will be stylish and functional. European blue and gold, stars and other details that Captain Catriona Matthew has thoughtfully chosen highlight the final day’s outfit. Carefully selected to provide comfort and protection, the garments will in no way hinder the play of the talented women fighting it out on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles. The weather in Scotland seems to change at a minute’s notice but the European women will be protected no matter what conditions unfold throughout the day.

The Sunday outfit consists of a functional two-colour polo with stars on the sleeves; an Ashby fleece to keep warm, with golden zippers and embossed stars; seamless hybrid padded vest with golden zippers: windproof, warm and super stylish; a choice of two pairs of white trousers, either the thinner Grace if warm, or Portnoo, a little bit thicker with fleece lining if there’s a chill in the air.

On top of this, the top of the line 37.5 Pitch jacket from the x-series, if it’s raining. Pitch will keep the micro climate inside the garment at a perfect performance temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius. Finally, Swinley rain pants with four-way stretch, which are super soft and very lightweight.

Following on from the specially commissioned tartan, which highlights Friday’s clothing and the stylish colour palette for Saturday, the Sunday outfit is sure to please. Even the caddies will get in on the fashion by sporting matching polo shirts during the entire event.

A limited number of the styles seen on the course will be available for sale in the event Merchandise Shop in the Spectator Village during Solheim Cup week.
