We have an amazing day of entertainment and activities lined up for you to ensure The 2019 Solheim Cup starts with a bang. The Main Stage in the Spectator Village will host an exciting line-up of stars, including world-famous bands Texas, Bjorn Again and Elephant Sessions plus Highlands dance group Flings and Things, Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band, DJs from Glasgow’s Pretty Ugly Club and Scottish girl group FARA.

Hosted by well-known sports presenters Andrew Cotter and Di Dougherty, it will also feature the official welcomes, speeches from the Captains and the official introduction of the two teams before Friday morning’s pairings are revealed – all in front of a live television audience around the world.

The Spectator Village will be a hive of activity, buzzing with all the fantastic activities which will appeal to people of all ages. Got children in your party? Head to the Kids’ Zone complete with crazy golf, soft play area and mini ride-on tractors. Fancy swinging a club? Check out the Golf Zone, where we have PING Swing Nets complete coaches to give you some tips, a fun accuracy chipping test and a long-putt challenge.

It promises to be a brilliant festival of golf and entertainment – don’t miss it!

Opening Ceremony Day Schedule

From midday – pre-show entertainment on the Main Stage including Morrison’s Academy, FARA, Elephant Sessions, Flings and Things and a live DJ.

Main Act: Texas – 4.30pm

Official Opening Ceremony (live show) – 5.30pm-6.30pm

Post-show: Bjorn Again

Finishing at 19.30

Other activities and entertainment will run throughout the day including trick shot show and the Diversity Cup (shotgun start at 1pm on holes 1, 2, 9, 10 and 18 of the PGA Centenary Course).
